Inaugurated June 2nd of this year, the new oven of Alphaglass, the arquoise subsidiary of Saverglass, has already found its tempo because some 300 tons of extra white glass go out of it every day. Last Wednesday, September 24th, the customers of Saverglass were entitled to an inaugural visit.
275 glass-makers, mainly former employees of “Arc International”, work around this beautiful tool which has to evolve again. A 6th production line should begin December 8th of this year that means 6 months before the term initially planned. This operation will pull the supplementary hiring of about forty persons. The 7th and last line could also be put forward of several months with some more jobs.
With a full capacity, Alphaglass should take out 90.000 tons of glass a year and that would allow to increase the production of the group of 40 %.
The market of the up-market bottle being rapidly expanding, Saverglass intends to adopt again an offensive commercial strategy.
Loïc Quentin de Gromard, President of Saverglass Group, mentioned the eventuality of the medium-term building of a 2nd oven. He also announced the creation of devices of coloring of an uncommon type in glass bottle in 2009 : " It will allow a rather wide range of colorings allowing original creations as much as declensions of existing products ".
